BUILD SOMETHING / 3 MINUTES

A little time machine

Compare a checkpoint before you step back in time.

Your little win: Understand staged restores, recovered drafts and deliberate retries.

01 / SEE HOW IT FITS

The big picture, in little steps.

STEP 1 OF 4

Save and inspect

Understand which files are saved and which contain local edits. Recovered drafts are offered for review or download; they do not silently replace newer work.

02 / YOUR TURN

Have a little go.

Studio → Inspect → checkpoints / task controls

Before you start: A Studio project with saved work or checkpoints.

  1. 1

    Save and inspect

Understand which files are saved and which contain local edits. Recovered drafts are offered for review or download; they do not silently replace newer work.

  2. 2

    Stage a checkpoint

Choose a saved checkpoint and inspect the proposed file differences. Staging previews the restore before any files are replaced.

  3. 3

    Commit the intended restore

Confirm only after reviewing the difference. The system checks revisions so a stale restore cannot overwrite a newer version unnoticed.

  4. 4

    Recover with context

For a failed task, read the reported reason and any partial outputs. Use an available retry for a recoverable failure, or fix missing configuration first. Stop and retry are explicit actions.

A little thing to rememberA restore can affect the project’s whole file set. The comparison is the important part, not just the earlier timestamp.
